A startup is reopening neighborhood video stores with membership cards, weekend rentals and handwritten recommendation cards.
The owners say the real product is the ritual: walking the aisles, reading boxes and discovering a movie because a human being put it on a shelf.
The first location is reportedly taking reservations for opening weekend.
